Updates from the Royal Household:

We don't have many pictures but I have been trying to get momma to help me post, (even if it's later in the day) and visit everyone! I give her guilty eyes and it seems to work. Momma has been doing better every day. She can walk and stuff and is cutting back on pain meds. We have had lots of cuddles and naps on the couch! That has been GREAT! She did have a minor setback this morning, she had a coughing fit that made her hurt so bad she could barely move. She is still hurting now and feels like she did days ago. I wish I knew how to fix her lunch so she did not have to get up today, as there is no one but us kitty nurses here. She is kinda upset about it because she was feeling almost normal.
Renna, while a cutie, is driving us a bit batty! She is a ball of energy and its all centered on chewing, mostly on momma. Momma got her puppy teething toys but they only do so much. She thinking hissing is funny! She has tried chewing on my tail TWICE!! I've whapped her on the head, but I swear she just giggles and comes back for more!

Nurse Kitties

Today momma is at the hospital, she is having her surgery. She is not coming home tonight, maybe tomorrow. Daddy will be her all day but back tonight and Grandma bean will stay with her overnight. It will be a few days until we can blog again because we will be taking care of her. Our wonderful cousins Kirara and Rosettii at The Kiaton Empire will be posting updates on how momma's doing. Thursday 13, Edition # 14 : Momma's Health

Momma's Health Momma finally felt like talking about what is going on with her health. It is a very personal issue but I am proud of her for having the courage to talk about it. 1. Looks like momma will have surgery April 4th. 2. Her doctor is one of best in the country! Yea! We are happy about that! 3. He has a robot that will help with the surgery. 4. He trains people all over the world how to use it. 5. He is going to Australia this Saturday and England in two weeks, that is why momma's surgery is so far away. 6. It is not actually momma's back that was "hurt" but a disease called endometriosis. She has had it for a long time. This time it is very bad. 7. She has had two surgeries for it already. 8. This time they will be more aggressive, that is why momma feels all nervous and stuff about it. She still has a few more decisions to make too. 9. She is only 27. 10. They will do the whole thing laparoscopicly. This is good. 11. We will get to cuddle with her for 2 whole weeks after it is over! I think this is the best part! 12. She will try experimental medication after its over to try to keep the disease at bay. However, there is no cure currently known. 13. Tortie Tuesday: Momma Report

Momma finally had her tests this morning. Good news is they are pretty sure they found out what is causing all her back pain, plus some other problems. The bad news is it will probably mean surgery. How extensive is yet to be determined. Momma is now waiting on her specialist to call her so they can discuss options. Momma really didn't want me to post the particulars on my blog. This is a health issue she has battled for a while and it is worse this time. She said she is kinda shocked right now and not too upset yet, but her tummy is full of butterflies. I told her I would catch them for her. :) I like to be helpful. She has some BIG decisions to make soon. We would appreciate your purrs and prayers for peace and confidence in this rough time.

Tortie and Tabby Tuesday: Momma Disappeared

As you may have noticed we didn't post yesterday. That is because momma disappeared in the middle of the night. She woke up crying very early Monday morning, something about her back hurting really bad and daddy got really worried and took her away to a place called ER. They were gone FOREVER! When they got back momma was very sleepy, daddy said it was the morfine something or other. Then Gandma been showed up! We love her she gave us treats. When momma finally woke up Gandma bean gave her apple sauce, we sniffed it but were not impressed, and pills then she was asleep again. We took turns sleeping on her legs to keep her warm.
The ER doctor did not know what was wrong, none of his tests said anything. Momma's normal doctor was mad he did not get the ER cat to scan her because now she has to wait for insurance to approve one. It could take up to 2 weeks. All she knows is the pain is along her spine and triggering her migraines or it is the other way around. Momma said just sitting to post this for us made her back hurt, but she can't decide if she should go on to her day hunting or not. I say silly momma stay home with us!

** Updates Momma did not go dayhuntings, she hurts too bad and still can not eat more than apple sauce or bananers with out getting sick. She is waiting on calls from doctors, she may have to go back to the ER place anyway. Sorry we can not do much visiting today I need to take care of her.**
